WE DID IT!!! Our 5Th annual Food and Wine Celebration was this past weekend and boy was the event amazing. We had over 40 chefs from around the country preparing food for 1000 guests. Paula Dean made a visit for the event, chatting up a storm and making people excited for being there! The event started on Friday the 20th with our Chef Summit, 6 demos from our visiting chefs, showing us cutting edge techniques and new and exciting products. The day was educational and fun... afterwards we had a hog roast dinner thanks to Chef Martir and his crew. Saturday was the big event starting at 5 pm. we were loaded with people, food, wine, and HELP..we had so much Volunteers there giving up their time to help out for this Benefit! If any of you are reading this, THANKS A LOT! During this weekend Jon and i met a great guy GREG..in the picture with us... he called up 2 days before the event and came off the application Trail to come work with us! He was such a great help, and became a great friend. In 3 days I feel like I have known him for 10 years! Thanks Greg, and keep on hiking my man! The day went so well, the weather was on our side the whole day, and the people and workers we smiling through out the event. We were very blessed this weekend, nothing gave us any hassles at all. Taste Of Chicago for The Fourth!!!

A one day stop over to Chicago for the Fourth of July! Jon's good friend Seth lives in Chicago and invited us out to THE TASTE OF CHICAGO the food show. It was a great experience for us to be away for a day and enjoy some food we didn't have to cook! Seth was a great host, showing us all over the city and showing us some sites between the food. Jonny and I had a blast, eating some ethical food and being outside soaking up the rays was something we haven't had in a long while. THANKS SETH! afterwards we stopped in at Seth's home for a BBQ and fireworks, we definitely have to come back again, for a longer trip this time!
